20th Street in Zephyrhills, Florida, was extended approximately 1/2 mile to complete a new North-South corridor within the City of Zephyrhills. The total length of improvements was almost a mile. The new route removes truck traffic from the city streets. Project involved preparation of a Route Study, environmental evaluation, widening of a major rural arterial intersection and development of drainage ponds within a closed drainage basin. Right-of-way plans were prepared for the project. American/Avalon’s staff also conducted a public information meeting.
