American/Avalon is providing general support to the Intermodal Systems Development Unit within the District. To date, 16 assignments have been completed under this contract. Activities have included project development support including evaluation of enhancement applications. Environmental services have been provided to provide federal threatened/endangered species review for borrow material sites for construction projects and coordination with federal agencies. Support has been provided for processing and screening projects along US 41 and CR 296 in the FDOT’s Efficient Transportation Decision Making process. Public involvement and cultural resource assessment support has been provided for a specific project along SR 674. This is a 5-year contract.
