American/Avalon provided Project Management and Construction Engineering & Inspection to the City of Fort Pierce overseeing debris removal contractors removing, hauling, and disposing of debris as a result of Hurricane Wilma.
- Worked with the City determining dump sites
- Measuring the volume of each truck used for
transporting debris
- Issue truck tags to haulers
- Prioritizing and assigning the locations for removal
- Ensure that only eligible debris is loaded
- Field monitors writing tickets and issuing them to each load hauler indicating time, date, truck, location, and type of debris
- Field monitors complete log of load tickets issued
- Document cleared streets with photographs
- Disposal monitors collecting dump tickets issued by the St. Lucie County Landfill along with the corresponding load tickets issued by the Field Monitors from the truck drivers, copying those tickets with a portable copier and providing a copy to the driver, then completing a log of tickets
- Providing daily volume totals and spreadsheets with all
ticket data
- Reconciling questions from FEMA
- Obtaining Right of Entry releases from private communities
- Resolving resident complaints and concerns
