Ambassador Niagara Signature Bridge Group: Niagara River Crossing

Planning, permitting and preliminary design for a new 6 mile (9.6 km) long four lane toll facility over the Niagara River and extending from the Queen Elizabeth Way in Fort Erie, Ontario to the I-190 in Buffalo, NY. Project includes a 5000’ (1,524 m) long high level post tensioned segmental concrete box girder bridge over the Niagara River with more than 100’ (30.5 m) of vertical clearance. The main span is nearly 500’ (152.4 m) long and includes a cast-in-place concrete arch supporting the superstructure. The Draft Environmental Assessment in the United States is complete and the environmental assessment in Canada is on going. The project also includes numerous PPC I Beam bridges, retaining walls, noise walls and miscellaneous structures as well as toll and customs facilities in each country.
