American/Avalon’s landscape architecture staff provided design development and final construction documents for landscape and irrigation plans on this project in the Panhandle region of Florida. Special consideration was required for the restrictions on plant material types and planting area locations due to the proximity of the project to the airport runways. In addition, the project involved challenges to provide the required landscaping while not resulting in conflicts for facility operations, security concerns and function of stormwater facilities.
