  • Hart Bridge, Jacksonville: Rehabilitation, repair and painting of the bridge, which included a three-span continuous truss having span lengths of 748 feet, 1088 feet and 748 feet. A complete finite-element model of the bridge was developed to identify areas in need of repair due to corrosion and section loss in the steel members. Repairs were designed to strengthen the bottom and top cords of the truss as well as several diagonals. Repair details were developed for numerous connections throughout the length of the truss as well as to bearing plates and expansion joints.
