American is currently preparing a Project Development and Environment study for 25 miles on Interstate 75. This corridor includes existing interchanges at SR 674, Big Bend Road and Gibsonton Road, evaluation of a new interchange, and involvement of a rest area. We are evaluating expansion of the 6-lane interstate with future and interim alternatives including 8-lanes, 10-lanes and other options including use of special use lanes to serve: The project involves 26 bridge structures, assessment of 40 drainage basins including some within conservation/section 4f lands, and evaluation of noise, wetlands, protected species and essential fish habitat.
