American served in the program management role for design and permitting of 80 megawatt wind farm project in central New York State.
The project involved coordination and completion of environmental impact statement (EIS) and site civil design. American provided project siting guidance and feasibility guidance for the proper design and development of the project. We completed numerous studies including noise assessments, wetlands, cultural resources and aerial topographic and planametric surveys. American employed field geographic information system (GIS) that was used to collect wetland, historical and survey information to complete studies for development. We directed regulatory approval for Steuben County IDA approval, local zoning approval, US Army Corps permits, and NYS DEC permits. We also played a key role in coordination and negotitation of project design and development with local industrial development agencey (IDA), US Army Corps, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and local town boards.
